Steven Preston, President and Chief Executive Officer, joined Oakleaf in June 2009. Prior to joining Oakleaf, Mr. Preston served as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development form 2008-2009, and Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration from 2006-2008. Before entering public service, Mr. Preston spent nearly 25 years in financial and operational leadership positions in the private sector, including 9 years with ServiceMaster Company as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategic Services.
Previously, Mr. Preston worked with First Data Corporation and at a major Wall Street investment bank. He received his B.A. from Northwestern University with Highest Distinction and his M.B.A from University of Chicago. He serves on the board of the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), he also is Chairman of the Board of Visitors at the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University, Wheaton College and Urban Land Institute Terwilliger Center for Workforce Housing. He is also Senior Advisor to New Mountain Capitol.
Steve and his wife, Molly, have five children, ages 8-16.
